West Ham United and Nottingham Forest target Orel Mangala will decide where he will move to next from Stuttgart in the coming days.

That’s according to BILD who claim that the 24-year-old Belgian could be available for around €20 million (£17 million) this summer amidst links with the Hammers and Nottingham Forest.

Hammers boss David Moyes allegedly wants to bring the Belgium international to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.

Initially, it was claimed by The Athletic that Mangala was all set to join Nottingham Forest before the start of the new season.

According to BILD though, the Stuttgart ace’s future is far from sorted out. And there may just be an opening for the Hammers to sneak in and sign the 24-year-old…

Door still open for West Ham to sign Orel Mangala

BILD claim that Mangala’s move to Nottingham Forest is far from done and until his £17 million valuation is met, he wont be going anywhere.

As far as the Hammers are concerned, this is very good news indeed, as it means that David Moyes can still bring the midfielder to the London Stadium.

Much will depend on whether or not West Ham sign Mangala’s countryman Amadou Onana. If we miss out on the Lille ace though, signing the Stuttgart star would be a real no-brainer for Moyes.

The 24-year-old really is an elite player.

Mangala bagged one goal and three assists in 28 Bundesliga games for Stuttgart last season (Who Scored).

The Belgium International possesses power, pace, energy and stamina in abundance. In other words, he’s ideally suited to the robust and intense nature of Premier League football.

£17 million would actually represent fantastic value for the Belgian midfielder.

And if West Ham miss out on Amadou Onana, the signing of Orel Mangala would more than make up for it.

However, it remains to be seen whether he ends up at the London Stadium or decides to move to Nottingham Forest instead.
