Any hopes West Ham United have of bringing Grady Diangana back into the fold took a blow tonight.
West Ham are struggling down in 16th place in the Premier League and face a daunting run of fixtures.
David Moyes is also suffering with a host of injuries to key players.
That has left the Scot with a distinct lack of options in a squad already sorely lacking in terms of strength and depth.
That was no more evident than against Everton last time out.

Leggy West Ham hit by injuries
West Ham have looked leggy in both.
West Ham lack pace, energy and guile, particularly without the likes of Felipe Anderson and Michail Antonio.
One player who has all that is young star Diangana, currently on loan at Championship leaders West Bromwich Albion.
Diangana has been one of the stars of the Championship this season with his skills, goals and assists lighting up West Brom’s promotion push.
The pacy starlet is highly rated at West Ham, having been handed a six-year contract.
And he would walk into the West Ham team at the moment.

Hammers have Diangana recall option
According to The Telegraph West Brom have offered to pay £1.5mil to West Ham to stop them activating his mid-season recall clause.
West Ham fans have been calling on the club to recall him, though. Particularly given reports there is little or no money for Moyes to spend in January.
But any hopes Diangana could return to East London to reinvigorate West Ham’s attack have been hit by the fact he limped off after just two minutes of his return from injury on Monday night.

Hopes hit as Grady limps off moments into comeback
Making his first start in over a month against Stoke, Diangana went down with a back injury and was unable to carry on.
Ironically the man Diangana would have replaced if he was recalled, Anderson, is out until February with a back injury.
The severity of the injury is not clear at the time of writing.
