That is because the Spanish giants would prefer to sell the 24-year-old to the Hammers rather than loan him to AC Milan.

West Ham boss David Moyes may well want to bolster his left-back ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

Aaron Cresswell is on the wrong side of 31 whilst Arthur Masuaku is far better when playing in the wing-back role.

The Hammers have been continually linked with a move to sign Barca ace Junior Firpo since last summer (Sport).
