The Hammers have already made contact with Barca regarding a potential January move to sign the 24-year-old, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo.
The east London outfit may well have their work cut out, however, with Wolves allegedly sniffing around.
David Moyes will be desperate to bolster his left wing-back ranks at the London Stadium.
The Scot won’t have a free run at Junior Firpo, however, with Wolves boss Nuno Espirito allegedy keen to bring him to Molineux according to Sport (Print edition, Sunday December 27th, page 5).

West Ham and Wolves to battle it out for Junior Firpo
The Spaniard would be the absolutely ideal January signing for West Ham. And the Hammers owners should be moving heaven and earth to beat Wolves to the Barcelona star’s signature.
Junior Firpo can operate as both a left-back and a left wing-back.
He has been described as an outstanding player who excels in 1v1’s, both from an attacking and a defensive perspective (Total Football Analysis).
The former Betis ace is a top class player. Firpo is the right age. He is athletic, dynamic and has bundles of technical ability.

The 24-year-old joined Barca from Real Betis in the summer of 2019 for around €18 million (£16.2 million) according to Mundo Deportivo.
Junior Firpo has been transfer listed by Barcelona according to Mundo Deportivo.
So West Ham should be able to pick him up for a decent fee this month with the La Liga giants allegedly desperate to raise funds.
Let’s just hope we can beat Wolves to his signature. Firpo is exactly the man we need to sign this summer. Make it happen Sully!
