West Ham are pushing to sign at least two – and possibly three – new players before the transfer window closes on Monday night.
The Hammers have been busy in the January transfer window as the club take advantage of a last chance saloon in a desperate bid to avoid relegation.
Striker duo Taty Castellanos and Pablo arrived at West Ham for a combined £47m within the first 48 hours of the market officially opening at the start of the month.
Little known winger Keiber Lamadrid was then brought in with West Ham’s owners describing the skilful winger as a ‘lottery ticket’ signing.
Nuno Espirito Santo made it clear Lamadrid was not his target, stating that the 22-year-old Venezuelan, who has joined on loan with a paltry £1m option to buy, is a club signing.
As many as three more on way in at West Ham
So it remains to be seen how involved he will be in the remainder of the season with the Hammers facing the mammoth task of overhauling what is effectively a six-point gap on Nottingham Forest above them.
Especially as Lamadrid had only just started pre-season in his homeland before moving to east London.
On a scale of 1-10, how much does Axel Disasi actually improve West Ham’s defence? 👀
A far more experienced Premier League winger followed Lamadrid through the London Stadium entrance this week when Nuno finally got his man by signing Adama Traore.
The Irons are far from done there, though.

As many as three more could be on the way as Nuno issues an exciting West Ham transfer update.
Speaking ahead of a huge London derby with rivals Chelsea, Nuno has made it clear to the owners he still wants more arrivals.
The Hammers’ head coach revealed talks are going on in the background for several targets – but was reluctant to reveal names or positions.
Encouragingly, though, Nuno stated he ‘expects’ signings to arrive.
Nuno issues exciting West Ham transfer update
“We still have a few days to go, the club is working very hard, and there are negotiations ongoing,” Nuno said.
“I’m not going to say who or in what positions, but there are things ongoing and we expect things to happen.
“As I’ve said before, it’s about rebalancing the squad, trying to make the squad more competitive, and having options and solutions that can allow us to keep fighting.”
Hammers News understands West Ham’s board are confident of landing deals to sign at least two more signings for Nuno before Monday night’s 7pm deadline.
But there may even be as many as three new arrivals.

Talks have been ongoing to sign centre-back Axel Disasi from Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season.
The last time the Hammers signed a French centre-back from Chelsea, in the shape of Kurt Zouma, it didn’t go too badly.
But while Disasi is open to the move, Chelsea are looking for a permanent deal.
Sky Sports claim West Ham are also exploring a move for Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis, but he is ‘considered not for sale’.
Hammers in talks over Disasi, Harwood-Bellis, Kinksy and Gomes
West Ham are also continuing talks to sign Spurs back-up goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky with Spurs looking to replace him with Wolves’ Sam Johnstone.
Another player who is now on the radar again before the deadline is Angel Gomes.
The England midfielder has failed to establish himself after snubbing West Ham and other Premier League clubs for a move to Marseille in the summer.
Now the Edmonton-born star wants to come back to England and West Ham have registered their interest in Gomes following the departure of Lucas Paqueta.
If Kinsky arrives then expect £15m Hammers flop Mads Hermansen to follow Paqueta out of the London Stadium exit door.
