Arsenal could now be forced to sell West Ham target Eddie Nketiah for a bargain fee in January according to a report from the Sun.

The young Gunners striker could also leave the Emirates for nothing next summer as he continues to stall on signing a new deal.

Hammers boss David Moyes is desperate to sign a new centre-forward to provide competition and cover for Michail Antonio.

The East London outfit were strongly linked with a move to sign 22-year-old Arsenal ace Nketiah in the summer (Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic).

And perhaps the door may now be open for Moyes to strike a bargain deal for Eddie.

Arsenal could lose Eddie Nketiah for nothing

The Sun reckons that the striker is stalling on signing a new deal at The Emirates.

And as a result, the Gunners could lose the England under-21 International for nothing next summer. If they are lucky, they could sell him for a nominal fee in January.

The 22-year-old isn’t a bad young striker at all. He has plenty of pace and movement and is a very hard worker.

Here is a glimpse of what the Arsenal striker has to offer:

The Gunners hitman has absolutely no kind of physical presence through the middle, however, and his goalscoring record is fairly poor to say the least with just 18 goals in 84 senior games to his name (Transfermarkt).

So there are definite warning signs for West Ham. We think Nketiah has great potential, however. If he does manage to bulk up and improve upon his finishing, he could still be a top class Premier League player.

The young Londoner certainly has the raw ingredients needed to make an impact at the highest level.

If West Ham offer Arsenal a nominal fee in January, the North London outfit will surely decide to sell rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.

The only problem we have is that Nketiah will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs in January. So there will be plenty of competition for his signature in four months time.
