Arsenal plan to rub West Ham’s noses in it by making a huge fanfare of the Declan Rice signing announcement if a journalist’s claim is true.
It is something of an understatement to say the Declan Rice transfer saga between Arsenal and West Ham has become tiresome.
The British record £105m plus transfer has dragged on far too long as a result of Arsenal’s apparent reluctance to meet West Ham’s terms on payments and add-ons.
West Ham want the money over a maximum of 18 months whereas Arsenal’s offer was set out over four years. And there is said to be minor details over the add-ons which need to be ironed out too.

Arsenal plan to rub West Ham’s noses in it by making a huge fanfare of Declan Rice announcement if journalist’s claim is true
It seemed only a matter of time until that issue was sorted and the deal was sealed between West Ham and Arsenal.
But yesterday Arsenal were given a 72-hour warning with Hammers co-owner David Sullivan prepared to ‘walk away’ from the Rice deal.
It seems Arsenal will bend – or at least reach a satisfactory compromise with West Ham – according to an update from football reporter Dean Jones.
But Arsenal plan to rub West Ham’s noses in it by making a big fanfare of the Rice signing if the journalist’s claim is true.

‘Everything’s ready for unveiling…’
Jones says the Gunners are going to get the deal done and then go to town on letting the world know with ‘huge’ plans in place for the announcement.
“I’m told that it’s basically done now,” Jones said.
“Everything’s ready for his unveiling, everything I’m hearing is positive.
“Arsenal want to make a big deal out of this transfer as it really is a serious moment in their rise under Arteta.”
It is difficult enough for West Ham fans to see their talisman go. But even more so after he pushed for a move to Arsenal.
So Hammers supporters may want to find a bunker to hide in when the announcement is made.
The sooner it is, though, the better. Because West Ham boss David Moyes and new technical director Tim Steidten need the funds so they can start to bring in players themselves now the international window is officially open.
Although West Ham’s first order of business looks to be the signing of Leicester’s flying English winger Harvey Barnes if reports are to be believed.
