Anton Ferdinand wants 'unstoppable' attacker to push for West Ham move on deadline day

Anton Ferdinand has told Sky Sports that Jesse Lingard should be pushing to join West Ham United from Manchester United on transfer deadline day.

David Ornstein claimed today that Ralf Rangnick has given Lingard his blessing to leave Old Trafford with both West Ham and Newcastle interested in securing his services.

David Moyes absolutely loved having Lingard at West Ham and the 29-year-old loved his time in East London as well.

The 32-capped international made a huge impact during his four-month loan spell at the London Stadium last season.

Predicting Your Club's STUPID Deadline Day Move

The Sun used one word to describe Jesse’s time at West Ham – ‘unstoppable’.

It would be brilliant to have Jesse back at the club and re-signing him would give everyone a huge lift.

Newcastle chasing the 29-year-old’s signature is a huge problem though. In spite of that, Anton Ferdinand has urged Lingard to return to East London.

Anton Ferdinand wants West Ham deadline day deal for Lingard

The attacking midfielder is out of contract with Manchester United in the summer. So he clearly doesn’t have a future at Old Trafford.

Newcastle and their new-found wealth will make our task of signing Jesse a lot harder, of course it will. It shouldn’t be impossible to bring him back to the London Stadium though.

And Anton Ferdinand told Sky Sports today (January 31st, 5:11pm) that he wants Lingard back at West Ham:

“I would love to see him back at West Ham. For Jesse, the person and the football player, he needs to go somewhere he knows he’s loved and knows he’s going to play. And a place where he effectively got back to the England squad and that’s West Ham. If I was Jesse I would be pushing for that move.”

Let’s hope Jesse was listening!

David Moyes signing Lingard on deadline day would be absolutely huge. Every single person involved with West Ham is a little bit flat at the moment.

As things stand, the Hammers haven’t strengthened adequately during the January transfer window.

Bringing Lingard back would change everyones’ moods instantly though. We’ve got to do something before 11pm haven’t we? Haven’t we????
