Sebastien Haller is West Ham’s new club-record signing. West Ham have completed the signing of Haller on a five-year deal with the option to extend that by a further 12 months.

Haller joins from Eintracht Frankfurt having scored 33 goals across two seasons with the German club. He gained experience in the Europa League and will hope to bolster West Ham’s striker options.

The 25-year-old is the direct replacement for Marko Arnautovic, who has joined Shanghai SIPG. Haller now joins Javier Hernandez in West Ham’s striker department after Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll also departed.

Upon joining, Haller told whufc.com: “I will always give 100% and respect the club. I think this is a normal thing and that I can guarantee. I know it’s a big transfer and there is a lot of expectation around me, and I just want to make people proud of this transfer and I will give everything I have.”

West Ham fans have been very excited to sign a new striker. After losing Arnautovic and missing out on Maxi Gomez, the Hammers have done well to land Haller. Here are some tweets from West Ham supporters discussing the Frenchman’s arrival.
