Bournemouth attacker Arnaut Danjuma has finally broken his silence amidst links with West Ham United, when speaking to Voetbal International.
The Sun claims that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the 24-year-old winger to the London Stadium this summer.
The Scot is expected to be a very busy man this summer.
In truth, the last position where West Ham need to strengthen is the wide attacking department.
Danjuma is a top class player, however, and he would have a lot to offer the Hammers.
You can never have too many good players after all!
The 24-year-old joined the Cherries from Club Brugge in the summer of 2019 for around £12.8 million (BBC).
He has enjoyed a successful time at the Vitality Stadium this season with 15 goals and eight assists in 34 games for Bournemouth to his name so far (Transfermarkt).
West Ham fans will know the Bournemouth winger well. He absolutely destroyed the Hammers and Ben Johnson in particular during a pre-season friendly at the London Stadium back in July.
West Ham target Arnaut Danjuma breaks silence
The two capped Holland international spoke to Voetbal International about recent links with West Ham:
“There has been contact here and there, but nothing else has happened with it. I didn’t want to leave mid-season. As long as we get promoted to the Premier League, it will be beneficial for the club and for me. I’m not working on that (a transfer) yet.”
If Bournemouth gain promotion to the Premier League, they will have every chance of keeping hold of Danjuma in the summer.
If the Cherries miss out on promotion, however, it would be no surprise to see West Ham move in for the 24-year-old winger. Especially if David Moyes moves the likes of Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko on from the London Stadium at the end of the season.
And Danjuma could end up being a very useful addition for the Hammers.
