Alex Song has provided very good and professional performances for the Hammers since he first stepped onto the Boleyn Ground turf.
Song moved to the Boleyn Ground from European giants FC Barcelona on loan and he hasn’t looked back. His performances have deservedly been rewarded with the Man of the Match Award nearly every match this season.
Before his first match for West Ham, he admitted that he had no plans on going back to Barcelona after the loan spell and sitting on the bench once again. He wanted to play football and more importantly, he wanted to play football in the Premier League. This opens up the question; Do we attempt to sign him for an audacious £15million at the end of the season?
He has been more welcomed by, not only the fans, but the players and the staff too. Allardyce said that Alex Song had been a revelation since he joined us, whilst the leaders in the team such as Mark Noble and Kevin Nolan have welcomed him into the squad very nicely indeed.
I believe that if we were to sign ex-Gunner Alex Song, we would be a force to reckoned with next season as other high-profiled stars would wish to play in the claret and blue of West Ham as well. £15million is a lot of money for West Ham to cough up, but let’s say Song and co. deliver a European spot this season, we wouldn’t mind how much we buy the Cameroonian midfielder for!
So, do you think West Ham should sign Alex Song in the Summer, or should we look elsewhere? Your call…
