But Aston Villa are determined to keep McGinn, who only joined from Hibernian last summer. And the West Midlands club will offer him a contract extension to secure his long-term future until 2022 and beyond.

West Ham are still eyeing reinforcements in midfield despite signing Pablo Fornals. And McGinn was thoroughly impressive in the Championship last season.
