West Ham United are interested in Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard as a replacement for Sebastien Haller.
That’s according to an agent who has tipped off reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee.
As Celtic’s struggles continue, speculation swirls around the future of star striker Edouard and manager Neil Lennon.
Edouard first linked with West Ham last week
Meanwhile West Ham are enjoying a fine season – their best for 22 years – but are becoming increasingly desperate to find a new striker.
West Ham have been linked with a plethora of forward since selling Haller to Ajax for £20million.
But the Hammers have made little progress so far.
West Ham were linked with a move for Edouard over a week ago by transfer guru Ian McGarry.
According to McGarry former Celtic man Moyes wants to raid his old club for Edouard.
When speaking on the transfer window podcast, Ian McGarry said that the Hammers are interested in signing the 22-year-old Hoops striker.
Agent claims Moyes still interested in Celtic star says Hammers insider ExWHUemployee
And now ExWHUemployee claims an agent has also told him Moyes is keen on the Celtic star.
Speaking on his Patreon site, ExWHUemployee did urge caution over any optimism West Ham would pull off the move.
“You might want to take this one with caution as it has came from an agent,” ExWHUemployee said on his Patreon site.
“The agent in question though has been involved in trying to bring numerous targets to West Ham. The player in question is Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard.
Are West Ham wasting their time… again?
“The player’s contract is up in the summer of 2022 meaning Celtic may decide to cash in now before even more of his value has been lost. With the league pretty much over in Scotland with Rangers romping it, there is even less reason to hold on.”
But West Ham appear to be wasting their time yet again if McGarry’s claim last week is accurate.
“It is the case that they’re interested in Edouard from Celtic, but Edouard is not interested in West Ham,” McGarry said on the transfer window podcast.
