African star Terem Moffi is undergoing a medical as West Ham United’s transfer hopes become clear ahead of deadline day.

Another transfer window, another West Ham saga and another one bites the dust.

As reported on Hammers News this lunchtime, West Ham looked set to lose out in the battle with Nice after the French club made a £26m bid for the Nigerian forward which was likely to be accepted.

Lorient have taken their player’s wishes into account with the 23-year-old preferring a move to Nice over West Ham.

That paints a distressing picture of how far West Ham have fallen under David Moyes over the last year.

The fact that Nice and Ligue 1 football are a more attractive proposition than a big move to London and the Premier League to play in front of 62,500 fans for a club like West Ham is very worrying indeed.

This particular soap opera is well and truly done and dusted now.

Because African star Moffi is undergoing a medical as West Ham United’s transfer hopes become clear ahead of deadline day.

Foot Mecato claims the West Ham trumping Nice bid has indeed been accepted by Lorient.

And Moffi has been undergoing his medical on the French coast according to journalist Saber Desfarges.

This was always likely to be the case as soon as news emerged that Nice had shipped out Andy Delort – ironically an alleged former West Ham target himself.

It is looking increasingly likely that West Ham boss Moyes will be going into the relegation run-in with what he has.

And that is an enormous risk based on what the Hammers have produced during a woeful Premier League campaign so far.

Especially as all of their seven relegation rivals have been or are active in the January window while West Ham have only brought in Danny Ings.
