West Ham are reportedly keen on Marcus Forss ahead of the January transfer window.
Brentford striker Forss is currently starring on loan at AFC Wimbledon. His form has not gone unnoticed. According to TEAMtalk, West Ham, Southampton, Watford and Brighton are all keen on Forss.
The 20-year-old has scored seven goals in eight games since joining Wimbledon on loan in the summer. He has also netted three times for Brentford’s senior team to highlight his potential.
Brentford snapped Forss up from West Brom two years ago and he has shot through the ranks at some speed. The Finland U21 international could now be set for a Premier League move in January.

Wimbledon fans have been discussing this latest situation on social media. Forss is leading the line for the Dons, who are showing early signs of being in a relegation battle.
Brentford have the option to recall Forss in January if they want to use him in the first-team. Alternatively, the Bees could bring him back to West London to sell him on for a profit.
Here are some Wimbledon fans reacting as West Ham reportedly eye a move for Forss in January.
Just signed a 4-year contract for them so I figure they’ve got no rush to sell him. Plus a 20-goal season in L1 boosts his value for next summer. Unless they’ve got money issues they need to fix I’d be comfortable that he’ll stay out the season

IMO the main risk for us is not Brentford selling @mforss_ but either wanting to play him themselves or wanting him to be exposed at a higher level. If he continues as he has started then there will be demand at Xmas from bigger fish in @SkyBetLeagueOne or @SkyBetChamp. 🤞

I have absolute no doubt he will be a premier league player one day but a full season playing week in week out is what’s gonna take him there

Marcus Forss’ potential is enormous (could one day command Maupay size fee); Brentford aren’t under pressure to cash in on Marcus now.

A bit premature at this stage. He’d do better for his career long term to get a full season of regular football under his belt at Wimbledon first.

My guess is that it’s his agent getting this story in the press. West Ham etc is unrealistic but a regular place in a decent league 1 (ie not us) or championship side isn’t. If he signs for Ipswich and scores 10 goals after Christmas then everyone’s a winner except us.
