And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
Diop joined West Ham from Toulouse in the summer of 2018 for around £25 million (The Express).
The 24-year-old has all of the attributes needed to succeed at the very highest level. He stands at 6ft 4in tall and is commanding in the air.

Unfortunately for the West Ham ace, however, he just hasn’t lived up to expectations over the past two seasons or so.
Diop lacks any kind of positional awareness and his decision making really is very poor at times. He has failed to kick on over the past year or so and seems incapable of learning from his mistakes.
AC Milan could sign Issa Diop and West Ham fans are very happy
David Moyes will want to strengthen his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

If we receive a big offer for Diop, however, the Scot may well be tempted to cash in.
The former Toulouse centre-back may well go on to become a top class player. But as things stand, the chances of him doing that seem to be slim.
