AC Milan have reportedly struck an agreement to sign West Ham forward Niclas Fullkrug on loan in the January transfer window.
Fullkrug has been on Milan’s radar for a while and the Serie A giants have taken a significant step towards bringing him to the San Siro.
Nuno Espirito Santo has barely turned to the Germany international this season, with Callum Wilson being his preferred striker.
Niclas Fullkrug is expected to leave in January. What is your favourite moment of him in a West Ham shirt?
AC Milan now working on agreement with West Ham
According to Calciomercato, the 32-year-old has asked to leave the London Stadium due to the lack of playing time.
Fullkrug has played only 410 minutes in the league, making five starts without scoring a single goal.
He made two appearances off the bench in the whole of November and has not played a single minute of football this month.
Promise David is the perfect replacement for Fullkrug.
Who else can West Ham sign?
While Milan have agreed a deal worth €1.5million/£1.32million in wages with the striker, they still have to strike an agreement with West Ham United.
Those wages are understood to be what he’s currently on at the London Stadium, so there will be no pay rise or pay cut for the German.
Can Fullkrug be sold permanently?
Regardless of how he does on loan, Fullkrug does not seem to have a future at the Hammers.
He was signed once he was past his peak, which raised red flags at the time, but he has since slowed down and suffered issues with his form and fitness.

His contract runs out in the summer of 2028, so he’s still got two-and-a-half years left on it, making it questionable to hand him such a long one in the first place.
Milan want to loan him out because they want to see if he’s capable of playing regularly and scoring goals.
However, West Ham need to look to get rid of him permanently and should not agree to a loan without an obligation to buy.
They could demand around £10million for Fullkrug as there are other Italian clubs also interested in his services.
A bidding war is unlikely to work as he has not been performing well, but the Hammers can surely find a club that will buy him permanently.
