One West Ham United star faces a bleak future at the club after a new transfer claim emerged today.

Julen Lopetegui apparently wants to bring one of the most talented young players in England to West Ham.

And it could be curtains for one of our old stalwarts.

Lopetegui enjoyed a fabulous summer transfer window at the London Stadium, but he’s clearly still looking towards the future.

Tim Stediten is keen to find the best young talents in the game, and bring them to West Ham.

A mix of youth and experience is definitely the way that Lopetegui and Steidten seemingly want to go, and that’s just how it should be.

West Ham want Azeem Abdulai

According to a report from TEAMtalk, the Hammers are closely monitoring the Swansea City midfielder.

Described as the new Jude Bellingham by The Daily Mail, Abdulai has everything needed to go on and become a star in the game.

The 21-year-old midfielder is incredibly versatile and can also operate out on the wing or even as a central defender.

Standing at 6ft tall, the Swansea City youngster possesses an imposing physique, and has the ability to dominate games from central midfield.

He is still very rough around the edges, but as far as raw talent goes, he’s the total package, and is the complete midfielder.

I would love the Scotland under-21 international at the London Stadium.

However, if West Ham do sign Abdulai , Tomas Soucek may well be finished at the London Stadium.

Tomas Soucek done at West Ham?

The 29-year-old, who earns £90k-a-week at the London Stadium (Spotrac), is coming to the end of his Hammers career in my opinion.

Soucek has been a fine servant for us over the past four-and-a-half years, but he’s already slipped down the pecking order under Lopetegui.

With Edson Alvarez, Carlos Soler and Guido Rodriguez at the club, the Czech Republic international is already the fourth choice central midfielder right now.

If Azeem Abdulai joins us in January or next summer, he’ll be even further down the list.

West Ham should try and sell Tomas Soucek next summer, as good as he has been for us.

And then Abdulai will hopefully help usher in an exciting new era of success for the Hammers.
