West Ham have already signed Sebastien Haller this summer.
The Frenchman arrived at the London Stadium from Eintracht Frankfurt for around £45 million, according to Sky Sports.
The problem for the Hammers, however, is that they need another forward, in spite of the fact that they have limited funds.
So with this in mind, here are five free agents who could really do a job for West Ham…
Mario Balotelli
The mercurial Italian, who won the Champions League with Inter Milan nine years ago, really is a wonderful talent. Ok, his off-field antics might be a major turn-off for the Hammers, but on his day he is unplayable. And his availability on a free transfer makes a move for him an absolute no brainer.
Daniel Sturridge
The Englishman is an exceptional finisher. He scored 68 goals in 160 games for Liverpool. The 29-year-old is injury prone, however, so West Ham need to be wary.
He is a Champions League winner, however, and that kind of winning experience could prove to be vital to Manuel Pellegrini’s men.
Danny Welbeck
Another injury prone forward, the 28-year-old has really struggled in recent years. On his day, however, he is a right handful. Welbeck possesses blistering pace, and his ability to play anywhere along the front-line will surely appeal to the Hammers.
Wilfried Bony
Probably the least glamorous name on the list, but still a useful option for the east London outfit.
Bony, 31, is strong in the air, and has the ability to hold the ball up, whilst bringing others into play.
Fernando Llorente
The Spaniard really would be an excellent addition for West Ham. He would provide Manuel Pellegrini with the chance to play with a completely different style, if and when he needs to do so.
And for a free transfer, the Hammers can’t go wrong.
All five names would be decent backup options to Haller and Chicharito, and there surely wouldn’t be too many unhappy West Ham fans if any of those players arrived at the club on a free this summer.
