West Ham United will be desperate to sign Jesse Lingard on a permanent deal from Manchester United in the summer.
The key to our hopes of doing just that will be proving to the 28-year-old that we can match his ambitions.
The Hammers are doing well this season. We have a great chance of qualifying for Europe.
If West Ham can finish inside the top six, there is every chance that Lingard will want to move to the London Stadium permanently.
Another key factor, however, will be proving to Jesse that we want to make real progress to the next level by making waves in the summer transfer market.
The West Ham owners have to back David Moyes in the transfer market.
And one signing in particular really could convince Lingard that his future lies with the Hammers – Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri.
The Athletic claimed towards the end of January that the Hammers made a £27 million bid for the 23-year-old – one that was swiftly rejected by Sevilla.
Jesse Lingard would be convinced of West Ham United’s ambition if David Moyes makes Youssef En-Nesyri signing
As recently as a couple of weeks ago, it was claimed that West Ham have actually already submitted an offer for the Moroccan ahead of the summer transfer window (Il Milanista).
En-Nesyri would be an incredible signing for West Ham.
The 23-year-old has scored 21 goals in 40 games so far this term (Who Scored).
The Morocco International is lively, quick and has great mobility and movement. He is pretty good in the air as well. In short, he is a complete striker.
In other words, he has everything David Moyes looks for in a striker.
Bringing En-Nesyri to the London Stadium would help us reach the next level. And it might just convince Jesse Lingard to join West Ham permanently as well.
