It has been a tough season for West Ham United so far, but the January transfer window has provided them with a chance to turn things around.
It’s not easy being a West Ham fan, is it?
Just two-and-a-half years after winning the Europa Conference League final, the Hammers now find themselves embroiled in a real relegation battle.
Nuno Espirito Santo and the West Ham owners are doing everything they can to turn things around, and they have already made two January transfer window signings in the form of Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe.
What do YOU think West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen succession plan should be?
Is Yaser Asprilla a potential replacement?
West Ham are being linked with some really exciting January signings as Nuno looks to bolster his ranks further still.
However, there could be some exits from the London Stadium before deadline day as well.
Galatasaray make formal January transfer window approach for West Ham star
West Ham have already let five players leave this winter, including the likes of Niclas Fullkrug, Luis Guilherme and Andy Irving.
The Hammers may need to raise funds if they sign a couple more players over the course of the next 10 days or so.
And now West Ham have seemingly been presented with an opportunity to recoup some serious cash.
According to a report from Haluk Yürekli, Galatasaray have made a formal bid for Hammers midfielder Soungoutou Magassa.

However, West Ham rejected the offer from the 26-time Turkish league champions outright.
If true, that is the correct call.
Magassa is a player with huge potential, and he will have a key role to play for the Hammers moving forward.
West Ham have to keep Soungoutou Magassa
Hopefully the Hammers stand firm if Galatasaray come back in with another bid for the French defensive midfielder.
How do you FEEL about West Ham signing Keiber Lamadrid?
Is this the sort of low-cost risk the Hammers need to be chasing?
Magassa joined West Ham from Monaco in the summer of 2025 for an initial £14 million fee.
The hard-working midfielder has added some much-needed energy and mobility to the Hammers’ central midfield ranks.
He definitely needs to refine his game slightly to succeed in the Premier League but he does have all of the basic ingredients needed to do exactly that.
Soungoutou Magassa will be crucial for West Ham, both between now and the end of the season, and in the long-term.
