1pm West Ham deadline-day roundup: Defender move fails, player leaves on loan, right-back search abandoned

It has been a busy last few days for West Ham in the transfer window.

The Hammers signed Tomas Soucek on loan from Slavia Prague two days ago, and have an option to buy the midfielder on a permanent deal in the summer.

Meanwhile, Jarrod Bowen is inching closer to joining West Ham, with Sky Sports reporting that a medical is set to take place this afternoon.

£25 move for Unai Nunez falls apart with player not keen on joining the Hammers

According to Spanish publication AS, West Ham were ready to pay £25 million for the 23-year-old, but the Spaniard did not want to move to the London Stadium

Hammers abandon right-back pursuit

That’s according to the Daily Star, who claim that David Moyes is happy with what he has heading into the final third of the campaign.

Dan Kemp leaves on loan

The 21-year-old has linked up with  Stevenage on loan until the end of the season (Sky Sports).

Kalou keen on London return

After German publication Kicker linked the former Chelsea striker with a move to West Ham yesterday, the player himself has told Bild that he is interested by the prospect of returning to the Premier League:

“Everything really started for me in London. Now the circle would close. London would be interesting; I’m waiting for a call that they really want me. Then we can talk.”
