West Ham United are seemingly ready to make a decisive call in the January transfer window.
Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten must work closely together this winter, in order to strengthen the West Ham squad.

The upcoming January transfer window must be used effectively by the Hammers, if we are to enjoy a successful 2024/25 campaign on all fronts.
Lopetegui’s job is said to be safe for now, so he will already be planning for the January window ahead.
He needs to strengthen in pretty much every department this winter.
However, it seems like a familiar face could be back at the London Stadium very soon indeed.
£17m man could be set for West Ham return in January window
The focus this winter may well be moving on some of the deadwood before we can think about signing new players.
However, one loanee could be set to return to the club.

According to a report from The Athletic, Hammers owned Maxwel Cornet could be recalled to the London Stadium after his horror loan move to Southampton.
It couldn’t have gone much worse for the 28-year-old at St Mary’s, with just 187 minutes of football to his name for the Saints this season.
I totally get the decision to recall him, but only if it means loaning him out to another team.
For whatever reason, Maxwel Cornet is simply not good enough to be playing at the highest level anymore, and certainly not for West Ham.
His fall-off over the past two years has been truly shocking.
The Ivory Coast international’s injury problems certainly haven’t helped him, and now it seems like he’s suffering a real confidence crisis.
If West Ham bring Maxwel Cornet back to the London Stadium in the january window, it will be vitally important to ship him out to another club immediately.
We cannot afford to carry any more passengers throughout the second half of the campaign.
