West Ham are among the clubs linked with a move for FC Porto striker Moussa Marega.
According to Portuguese media outlet Correio da Manhã via Sport Witness, West Ham, Everton and Swansea City are keen on Marega.
West Ham were interested in Marega this summer, according to Sky Sports News, and they could move for him again.
The 27-year-old has a sizeable release clause of €40m, although the Portuguese newspaper adds (translated via Sport Witness) that this “doesn’t scare the English”.
Who is Moussa Marega?
Marega plays up front for FC Porto in the top flight of Portuguese football and the Champions League.
The Mali international has been in impressive form again this season, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in 19 matches.
After netting five goals in the Champions League group stage, West Ham, Everton and Swansea’s attention has been caught.
And surely West Ham and Everton lead the chase for the France-born striker with Swansea now in the Championship.
West Ham’s striker situation
West Ham are currently without Marko Arnautovic and Lucas Perez due to injury.
But Michail Antonio scored at the weekend, Javier Hernandez is in good form and Andy Carroll is now back from injury.
This might not be a priority position for Manuel Pellegrini. However, Marega is a longstanding target for West Ham and the East London club might not want to miss out on his services by waiting until the summer.
