Two striker rumours have resurfaced this week. Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata (Calcio Mercato) and Roma forward Edin Dzeko (Calcio Mercato) are both reportedly on West Ham’s wish-list.

Meanwhile, The Express claim that West Ham have been scouting Millwall right-back Mahlon Romeo with Rangers also interested.

The 23-year-old is said to be out of contract, even though Millwall’s official website reported that he signed a new long-term deal last season.

West Ham have been boosted by the return of Fabian Balbuena, Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed (via the club’s official website).

Balbuena has been out since before Christmas. But he could make his comeback against Cardiff City after playing 45 minutes for the under-23 side.

Aaron Cresswell is also available after being taken off for concussion against Newcastle United. Meanwhile, Jack Wilshere remains sidelined.

And West Ham’s forgotten man – Sam Byram – has been training after nearly seven months out, The Nottingham Post reports. The 25-year-old right-back is on loan at Nottingham Forest and Martin O’Neill is delighted to see him approaching his comeback.
