West Ham signed off in style last weekend. The 4-1 win away at Watford ensured the Hammers finished in the top-half. Now, attention turns towards transfers as the summer window opens. Here are the latest West Ham transfer rumours, as of Friday 17th May.

Players linked with West Ham

Two £20m-plus midfielders have been linked with West Ham this week. Flamengo’s Colombia international Gustavo Cuellar is supposedly a £26m target (Radio Globo).

And Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos is the other target. West Ham have reportedly opened talks over the signing of the 22-year-old Spain international (The Express).

Jonjo Shelvey is another midfield target. The Newcastle United midfielder is waiting to hear about his future but the Hammers are confident of signing him (The Sun).

Several strikers have been linked ahead of the summer. Among them is Moussa Marega with FC Porto willing to sell (A Bola).

Another striker target is David Okereke. The 21-year-old Nigerian striker has scored 10 goals for Serie B side Spezia this season (Tutto Mercato Web).

 

Hoffenheim winger Steven Zuber, who is on loan at Stuttgart, is another player on West Ham’s radar. Nice, Lazio and Roma also want the £6m-rated Swiss midfielder (Tutto Mercato Web).

Meanwhile, Neil Etheridge of Cardiff City has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Adrian. He would be a back-up goalkeeper (Wales Online).

West Ham’s former prodigy Reece Oxford, 20, is set to make his loan move permanent. The centre-back will join Augsburg for £3m (Sky Sports News).

Exit-bound West Ham goalkeeper Adrian reportedly has an offer from his former club Real Betis (Mundo Deportivo).

Lucas Perez could also move to Betis. The 30-year-old striker has been used sparingly by West Ham and wants a return to Spain (Estadio Deportivo).

Other news

And finally, the shock news of the week is that West Ham might change their mind on Andy Carroll. The 30-year-old is expected to leave but West Ham might offer him a reduced contract with appearance and goal-based incentives (The Sun).
