Here are the latest transfer rumours and West Ham on Wednesday 9th January 2019.
Liverpool’s Origi targeted
West Ham want to sign Liverpool striker Divock Origi if Lucas Perez leaves, according to the print edition of The Daily Star via HITC Sport.
Perez has scored four goals in 13 games for West Ham since joining from Arsenal but the Hammers are ready to cash in.
If the Spaniard leaves, Belgium international Origi has been lined up. The 23-year-old has scored twice in four games for Liverpool this season.
West Ham target Munir free to leave
Barcelona winger Munir has been told he is free to leave the club, according to reports in Spain.
Marca reports that Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has told the 23-year-old he does not plan to select him.
According to Mundo Deportivo, West Ham are among the sides keen on signing the once-capped Spain international.
West Ham close in on Medel
West Ham are close to agreeing a deal to sign Gary Medel, according to The Daily Star.
The 31-year-old operates in central midfield, at centre-back or as a right-back, making him a useful player to join an injury-riddled West Ham squad.
The Chile international is wanted by fellow countryman Manuel Pellegrini and West Ham are edging closer to snatching him from Besiktas.
Hurdle in Pereira hunt
West Ham’s hopes of signing Andreas Pereira have been dealt a blow by news that he could be used as bait.
According to La Nazione via Sport Witness, Manchester United want to offer the Brazilian midfielder as part of a deal to land Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic.
But the report adds that the Irons “don’t give up” in pursuit of the 23-year-old, who will become a free agent in the summer.
