All the latest transfer rumours from West Ham on Sunday 27th January.
The Marko Arnautovic saga has concluded after the Austrian forward signed a new contract extension last night, whufc.com has announced.
The 29-year-old has scored eight goals for West Ham this season but was dropped from the Bournemouth squad amid links to a move to China.
Various media outlets – including The Daily Mail – reported that Arnautovic’s move to China collapsed and he has now signed fresh terms with the Hammers.
Despite Arnautovic’s contract extension, West Ham are preparing to trigger Maxi Gomez’s release clause, according to The Guardian.
The 22-year-old has a £43.5m release clause which West Ham could meet before sending him back to Celta Vigo on loan.
The Uruguay international has scored nine goals this season and is seen as a potential replacement for Arnautovic next summer.
Abdoulaye Doucoure has been identified as a potential midfield addition before the window shuts on Thursday, The Daily Mail reports.
The Frenchman has scored three goals and registered five assists for Watford this season and he is rated at £40m.
West Ham have joined Everton and PSG in the race for the highly-rated 26-year-old, who operates as an advanced central midfielder.
This same report by The Daily Mail claims that Danny Drinkwater is another potential midfield target.
West Ham want to add a new midfielder because Manuel Lanzini, Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez are all injured and Chelsea outcast Drinkwater is an option.
The 28-year-old, who has three caps for England, has not played since the Community Shield.
According to All Nigeria Soccer, West Ham are mulling over a bid for Ayomide Faniyan. The 18-year-old is a free agent since leaving Reading last September and has been training with the Hammers for the past eight weeks.
