Tottenham Hotspur could launch a shock bid for West Ham striker Andy Carroll, according to The Sun.

With Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Dele Alli injured, as well as Son Heung-Min away at the Asia Cup, Tottenham need a striker.

Carroll is out of contract at the end of this season and could be available for just £2m this January.

The 30-year-old has scored once this season since returning from injury and was blasted by fans for a bad miss against Bournemouth last weekend.

West Ham have failed with an attempt to sign Duvan Zapata for a major fee, according to Italian media outlet Bergamo Post.

The Colombia international has scored 17 goals for Atalanta this season, including 14 in his last eight outings.

West Ham reportedly bid €40m (around £35m) for the 27-year-old but Atalanta have rejected it.
