Birmingham are desperate to keep him but West Ham are ready to test their resolve with a bid.

The Hammers are not alone in their admiration of Adams – 12 Premier League clubs watched him in action recently, according to The Mirror.

John Fleck

West Ham want to sign Sheffield United midfielder John Fleck in a £4m deal, according to Sky Sports News.

The left-footed central midfielder came through the ranks at Rangers and made his name at Coventry City before his move to Sheffield United.

The 27-year-old Scotsman is a regular for the Blades, who are hunting promotion this season.

The print edition of The Sun (via HITC Sport) provides us with an update: West Ham’s first bid has been rejected but an improved offer has been submitted.

Maxi Gomez

According to Sky Sports News, West Ham are prepared to meet Maxi Gomez’s £43.2m release clause and sign him this January.

The 22-year-old has scored nine goals this season for relegation-threatened Celta Vigo.

But the Hammers are supposedly closing in on a deal, which could see the Uruguay international return to Celta Vigo on loan until the end of the season.

Real Betis have given up on Lucas Perez, according to The Daily Mail. Betis were hoping to sign the 5-goal West Ham striker but are now looking at Tottenham Hotspur flop Vincent Janssen instead.
