West Ham United kick off their pre-season campaign with a friendly game against Hungarian side Ferencvaros out in Austria this afternoon.

And the West Ham United starting lineup has just been released.

Julen Lopetegui has named his first even starting XI as Hammers head coach, since he replaced David Moyes at the London Stadium earlier this summer.

Much is expected of the Spaniard in East London, with his playing style widely regarded to be far easier on the eye than that of David Moyes.

He has already made some impressive new signings, and clearly has his eye on many, many more before the end of the transfer window.

The pre-season campaign will be key for Lopetegui to instil his ideas and footballing philosophy into the minds of his players.

Lopetegui has named a fresh looking Hammers starting lineup for today’s friendly clash with the Hungarian side out in Austria.

New signing Max Kilman and Luis Guilherme will make their first appearances in a West Ham shirt.

Here’s how the Hammers line up this afternoon…

Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Cresswell, Max Kilman, Konstantinos Mavropanos, James Ward-Prowse, Lewis Orford, Freddie Potts, Maxwel Cornet, Luis Guilherme, Mohammed Kudus, Gideon Kodua

It will be really interesting to see how the boys perform this afternoon.

Of course, the primary exercise will be to get everyone some much-needed minutes in their legs.

That said, I’m still very excited to see how Lopetegui’s first ever West Ham starting lineup looks compared to what we saw under Moyes.
