West Ham United are set to travel up to Tyneside to play Newcastle United in the Premier League in November.

The Newcastle vs West Ham game is obviously still quite a long way off, but rumours have been doing the rounds today about a Premier League announcement that will really rile up the Hammers fans.

Going to St James’ Park is always a tough challenge, and West Ham know that all too well.

The Hammers have only beaten the Magpies three times at their stadium since 1998!

They are a proper team now as well, so Julen Lopetegui and his players will be in for a really tough game when we head up there in two month’s time.

It seems like the West Ham fans will have all sorts of problems on Tyneside as well…

West Ham fans fuming with Premier League ahead of Newcastle

The Hammers fans already have battle wounds from our last trip up to St James’ Park in March.

We were leading 3-1 before all hell broke loose inside the final 15 minutes and they ended up winning the game 4-3.

It was a disastrous game for our season, and things went rapidly downhill straight after it.

Now the Premier League are set to make an announcement that will give the West Ham fans more nightmares…

According to Hammers insider Sean Whetstone, the Premier League will today announce that our clash with Newcastle currently pencilled in for November 23rd, will be moved to Monday November 25th, with an 8pm kick-off.

What a ridiculous decision – one taken with no thought about how the travelling fans will get back to London.

Premier League slap in the face to West Ham fans

Rearranging the game for a Monday night is just an absolute joke.

So the travelling West Ham fans now have to find their way back to London on a Monday night when the game won’t finish until around 10pm.

The last train back from Newcastle to London is at around 9:30pm. So that mode of transport is instantly ruled out for the travelling Hammers fans.

The bottom line here is that the Premier League don’t actually care about the match-going fans anymore.

They have a product that is being sold worldwide for billions of pounds, and as long as the markets in Asia and the US continue to lap it up, nothing will change.

The fact that the Newcastle vs West Ham clash has been rearranged to a Monday night game by the Premier League is utterly ludicrous if you ask me.
