West Ham skipper Mark Noble has surveyed the crucial win over Tottenham and declared: Now we must claim victory over Liverpool.

Captain Noble was instrumental as Slaven Bilic’s hard-working side all but ended Spurs’ Premier League title hopes with a 1-0 victory at the London Stadium last Friday.

Now Noble, ever eager to make improvements and learn from the experiences of being victorious, says the focus now switches to doing battle with Jurgen Klopp’s side, who have a top four place, along with Champions League football next season, in their sights.

The teams clash on Saturday at the home of the Hammers and while admitting he enjoyed the win over West Ham’s capital rivals, Tottenham, Noble has pledged to redouble his efforts against the Reds in a bid to deliver a strong finish to the campaign.

Bilic’s men, who currently sit in 12th position in the league standings, can still finish in the top 10. They go to Turf Moor to take on Sean Dyche’s Burnley soutfit on May 21 for the last game of the season.

Noble, who reached the milestone of playing his 400th game for West Ham in the recent win over Swansea, said: “The aim is to get more points on the board. We can’t worry about Spurs any more, it was a great performance and a great win but we want to beat Liverpool at home. I know we’re going to have the crowd behind us and then we want to go away to Burnley and get some points there.

“We want to finish as high up the table as possible and after beating Spurs, to not go on and get some more results would be disappointing. We want to finish in the top half and then that would be a very good season for us.”
