According to a report from the Times, West Ham boss David Moyes is desperate to sell Jack Wilshere this summer.

It has been widely reported that the Scot must sell before he can buy this summer.

And there are plenty of big earners at the London Stadium that have offered minimal value for money over the past two years.

Wilshere, who earns £100,000 per week (The Times) is certainly one of them.

And the Times reckon that David Moyes is desperate to move the 28-year-old midfielder on this summer.

Wilshere has been a huge disappointment for West Ham since moving to the London Stadium on a free transfer from Arsenal in the summer of 2018.

The 34-capped England international has played just 18 games for the Hammers, racking up only one goal and one assist in the process (Transfermarkt).

The sooner that West Ham can get Wilshere’s wages off their books the better.

And any kind of fee that they might pick up for him would be a real bonus, however small that may be.

The difficulty will be in finding a club willing to take a punt on the 28-year-old, what with his horrendous injury history.

And if West Ham don’t manage to find any prospective buyers, they really should consider offering Wilshere a pay-off just to get him off the wage-bill.
