West Ham picked up their first win of the season with a commanding performance against Watford. Club-record signing Sebastien Haller scored twice and Mark Noble returned with a goal to seal the points.
Noble played his first game of the season and it was 15 years to the day that he made his West Ham debut. The 32-year-old skipper took three minutes to open the scoring, netting a penalty after Manuel Lanzini was tripped in the box.
Andre Gray hit back for Watford, though, and the Hammers went into the break level. But the second-half performance was a vast improvement and Haller showcased his ability. The French striker scored two goals, including an acrobatic overhead kick, to win the game.
