West Ham picked up back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since January 2017 to climb up the league table.
The league table now looks a lot healthier for West Ham fans with the club in 12th – nine points clear of the relegation zone.
It was a second-half rout from the Hammers, who hit three early goals after the interval to claim the win.
Lucas Perez, who came on as a substitute, scored a brace and Michail Antonio hit the other.
But there was one defining moment in the game. Cardiff City could have been ahead just before half-time.
Lukasz Fabianski heroics
With 10 minutes to play until half-time, Cardiff were awarded a penalty when Marko Arnautovic felled Junior Hoilett in the box.
Up stepped Cardiff midfielder Joe Ralls, but his low left-footed effort was kept out by Lukasz Fabianski.
The 33-year-old ensured the sides went in level at half-time and nearly had back-to-back clean sheets to show for it, had it not been for a late Josh Murphy goal.
It further highlighted just how important the Poland international has been for West Ham.
West Ham fans took to social media to thank Fabianski and here are the best tweets.
