Midfielder Connor Brown has earned himself a new contract at West Ham United, with Academy Manager Kenny Brown explaining what makes the teenager a ‘special’ talent.

The Hammers brought Brooks to England from Concord Rangers twelve months ago.

At the time, Brown described the 18-year-old as a ‘high-energy midfield player who can manipulate the ball, tackle, and can score goals’.

West Ham United haven’t seen too much of Brooks’ goalscoring talents just yet. He found the net only once in 2025/26.

But an impressive debut campaign in which he made 17 appearances in the U18 Premier League is enough to earn the versatile up-and-comer a new deal until the summer of 2028, with the option for a further year on top of that.

“We’re all thrilled to see Connor sign a new deal with us,” Brown tells the official West Ham website. “From day one, he came in with a real freshness and he has impressed everyone with his application and attitude, alongside being a good footballer as well.

“He had a bit of a different pathway, arriving from non-league football, but since coming into us, you could see he had something special.”

Brooks made the majority of his U18 appearances in his favourite midfield role. However, he also featured as a right-back on occasions.

Brown confirms that Brooks will be playing U21 football in 2026/27, training closely alongside Mark Robson at the start of pre-season.

“He’s also shown his versatility, playing in a number of positions for the U18s, and done really well,” the Academy Manager adds. “Now he’s at Rush Green with Robbo. The levels have jumped, and he’s also training every day under the nose of the first team.

“We are all excited to support his development over the next few years.”
