Former West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is closing in on winning his first trophy since leaving the club for Arsenal.
Though Rice is clearly now recognised as one of the best midfielders in world football, his trophy cabinet remains relatively empty.
The only piece of major silverware Rice has lifted remains the Conference League he won while a West Ham United player in 2023.

Now, however, the 27-year-old could add to that if Arsenal beat Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
Sadly, even if he does, West Ham are not in line for a cash windfall.

With only the second major final of Rice’s career approaching, it’s worth looking back on some news Hammers News reported back in April 2025.
A club spokesperson confirmed to the website that Arsenal do not owe any more money to West Ham if Rice wins a major trophy with them.

They said: “We only get £1m each time they qualify for the Champions League – and a maximum of five times.
“The deal was £100m plus five £1m Champions League qualifications add-on payments.”
Indeed, the Gunners paid £100million to sign Rice in a deal that could rise up to £105million.
The north London club must pay £1million every time they qualify for the Champions League for a maximum of five times.
West Ham have helped hand Declan Rice another major trophy
Rice continues to benefit from West Ham United even almost three years after leaving the club with which he made his name.
While it remains to be seen what happens in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday, Rice’s Arsenal are all but certain to win the Premier League title.
With that in mind, West Ham’s recent draw with Manchester City has helped Rice.
The Gunners are now nine points clear of City as a result and there is little sign they will let their lead slip from here.
