Now it’s up to him to prove that the West Ham owners’ faith in him is justified.
The Hammers now have four huge games to come after the international break against Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Everton.
A bare minimum of six points will be required from those outings, whilst seven or more would be a great haul.
