Tomas Soucek is up against a Wolves defender in the race to win an award for the fifth time in his career.
The 31-year-old has earned legendary status at West Ham, making over 200 Premier League appearances and winning the Conference League.
He might not be the same player he once was, but the midfielder is still an integral part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.
Soucek could soon be rewarded for his contributions at an award ceremony in the Czech Republic later this month.

Tomas Soucek nominated for Czech Footballer of the Year
Tomas Soucek has been nominated for the 2025 men’s Czech Footballer of the Year award alongside four other contenders.
The five-man shortlist includes Wolves’ Ladislav Krejci, Slavia Prague’s Lukas Provod, Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick and Olympique Lyon’s Pavel Sulc.
Soucek has won the award four times, once at Slavia Prague in 2019 and three times since joining West Ham (2020, 2023 and 2024).

The midfielder did not enjoy as successful a year in 2025, but you could not rule him out of winning it again.
He still scored several important goals for the Hammers and broke the record for the most Premier League goals for a Czech player.
The winner will be announced at the Czech Footballer of the Year awards in Prague on Monday, 23 March, and Soucek will hopefully win.
