West Ham’s fixtures for the new Premier League season have been released.
In other news…Report: West Ham have strong desire to sell player Moyes just doesn’t rate
David Moyes will be fairly happy with what is a gentle opening to our 2021/22 campaign.
The Hammers take on Newcastle away, Leicester and Crystal Palace at home, Southampton away and Manchester United at home for our first five games.

It would be great to get off to a really strong start this season. But how many points will we get from our opening five games?
West Ham’s first five Premier League fixtures predicted:
Newcastle (a)
The Hammers struggled against the Toon last season, losing both games against the Tyneside outfit.
West Ham have won just three times at St James’ Park since 1998. This will be a tough one, especially if the Magpies’ stadium is packed out with 50,000 Geordies.
Prediction: 1-1
Leicester (h)
The Foxes are a very strong side. West Ham beat Brendan Rodgers’ men at the London Stadium last season, so we know we’re more than capable of getting three points.
We just think we might find it hard against this notoriously fast starting Leicester team.
Prediction: 1-2

Crystal Palace (h)
The Eagles have been our bogey team over the past few years. We reckon that will all change this season, however.
If the Hammers players produce their best stuff, Moyes’s men should have no problem sweeping Palace aside.
Prediction: 2-0
Southampton (a)
We took four points from the Saints least season, and we think this is the kind of game we should be winning.
Ralph Hasenhuttl likes his team to implement an expansive and attacking style of play. This should play right into West Ham’s hands what with our ability to hit teams hard and fast on the counter.
Prediction: 1-2
Manchester United (h)
The Red Devils are a very dangerous team, especially away from home. To take anything from them, we need to be clinical. When we get a chance, we need to take it.
If we do that, we reckon that West Ham can take something from the game.
Prediction 2-2
Eight points from our opening five games wouldn’t be a bad return. Most of us would be happy with two draws and two wins from our opening five games.
Hopefully the boys can start fast and do even better than that. The way we played last season, it would be no surprise if we do just that.
