This summer has been a hugely frustrating one for sure. Hammers boss David Moyes has so far been unable to bring the players he wants into the club.

There are plenty of positives, however. We really do have a vast array of incredibly talented young players at the club.

Managed by Kevin Keen, the under-18s seem to be in great shape. But who are the standout players coming through?

Krisztian Hegyi, 18:

The towering young goalkeeper is very highly rated in east London. The Hungarian joined West Ham two years ago, and the 6ft 4in stopper has already really impressed at youth level. He probably has three or four years left before he can challenge for a first-team spot, but the West Ham fans should keep a very close eye on his progress this season nonetheless.

Jamal Baptiste, 17:

Now, Jamal has been included because of his age but he is so good that he will predominantly feature for the under-23s this season. There will be times where he is called upon for the under-18s of course, and if so, the 17-year-old is someone who the Hammers fans must watch live in action this season.

Jayden Fevrier, 18:

The young left-back is a huge talent. He can play on either wing as well. Fevrier possesses pace in abundance and plays with a real kind of enthusiasm and energy that can be infectious for his teammates.

Fans will recognised the surname. Son of Steve, Freddie is now forging a career for himself in the game. The defensive midfielder, who can also operate at centre-back has inherited the calmness in possession that his dad had. He is a silky footballer but he gets stuck in as well. Definitely one to watch.

Amadou Diallo, 18:

The teenager has racked up 10 goals and six assists in 45 games for the Hammers youth teams (Transfermarkt). The left winger looks like a really exciting young player. He’s not physically developed yet but he has the ability to succeed at the very highest level.
