West Ham strode into the Europa League semi-finals with a superb 3-0 victory away at Lyon sealing a 4-1 aggregate win.
The Hammers will now play Eintracht Frankfurt in the last four after the Germans saw off Barcelona 4-3 on aggregate.
It will be West Ham’s first European semi-final since 1976.
Moyes got his tactics absolutely spot on as goals from man mountain Craig Dawson, talisman Declan Rice and star attacker Jarrod Bowen sealed an unforgettable triumph.
The odds were stacked against West Ham after the first leg.
Aaron Cresswell was ludicrously sent off in the 1-1 draw at the London Stadium last week despite barely touching diver Dembele.
To rub salt in the wound Dembele was caught on camera winking having successfully conned hapless referee Felix Zwayer.
That enraged West Ham boss David Moyes and everyone connected with the club.
Moyes warned Dembele that football has a way of coming back and biting you on the backside.
And it did just that tonight as Dawson beat the winker to the ball to power home West Ham’s opener from Pablo Fornals’s brilliant corner.
