West Ham United target Julen Lopetegui already has 4 top La Liga stars lined up to sign says a journalist.

The pressure is ramping up on David Moyes at West Ham after another defeat.

And a host of managers are being linked as potential replacements for the Scot.

One that is on West Ham’s shortlist is said to be out of work Julen Lopetegui.

According to Telegraph journalist Matt Law, the ex Wolves boss appeals to the Hammers.

Lopetegui already has 4 top stars lined up to sign

That claim came as Law revealed the West Ham board had given Moyes four games to decide his future.

The first of those ended in a 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest. And it extended West Ham’s winless run in 2024 to eight games.

Well if the Hammers do go after former Spain, Real Madrid and Sevilla boss Lopetegui then he is certainly well prepared.

Because West Ham target Lopetegui already has 4 top La Liga stars lined up to sign says a journalist.

Lopetegui has kept his house in the UK in the hope of landing another Premier League job.

Hammers target has his own targets

And according to journalist Alan Nixon, he wants to be backed with the signing of four top Spain-based stars at his next club.

“Julen Lopetegui has a four-man list of Spanish-based players he wants to sign when he gets a Premier League job,” Nixon states on is Patreon.

“The former Wolves chief is chasing a return but has been drawing up targets for a spree when he gets the call.

“Lopetegui left Wolves when he found out he would not be backed in the market and won’t take the next post offered until he knows there is cash for his wanted men.”

West Ham will have money to spend

It is looking increasingly likely that Moyes’ contract at as Hammers boss will not be extended.

And West Ham should have money to spend this summer as a new three-year FFP cycle begins.

As a result many are predicting a big summer transfer splurge.

But whether technical director Tim Steidten would welcome Lopetegui having his own ideas on recruitment is another matter.

Although that in itself will be a moot point if West Ham can’t keep him out of Liverpool’s clutches.
