West Ham stars Declan Rice and Michail Antonio have absolutely raved about what they saw at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Hammers secured back-to-back wins for the first time since before the November international break when they followed up the win at Watford by beating Palace 3-2 at Selhurst Park.

West Ham were ruthless as they stormed into a quick-fire 3-0 lead before half-time.

But that was extremely harsh on Palace who fought their way back into the game with 10 minutes left and went close to equalising at the death.

Palace look a completely different outfit under Patrick Vieira. And with the famous Selhurst crowd sticking behind their side throughout, it makes West Ham’s win all the more impressive.

And speaking after the game, West Ham stars Declan Rice and Michail Antonio absolutely raved about what they saw at Crystal Palace.

West Ham stars Declan Rice and Michail Antonio absolutely rave about what they saw at Crystal Palace

“It was very tough,” Rice said about facing Palace at Selhurst (whufc.com).

“If you look at the game, in the first half we were probably luck to be in at 3-0 because of the chances they had, and then second half, we always talk about it as a team, that we need to be more confident, step up and put a bit more pressure onto them, but we sat back and gave away two sloppy goals…

“They went up top with two strikers and with the atmosphere they have here at Selhurst Park, they can almost suck a goal in with the crowd.

“They were a handful, but we stood up to it.

“Obviously we didn’t want to concede the two goals, but in the end we stood strong and got the three points we wanted.”

Antonio agreed with his West Ham skipper Rice, complimenting the Eagles on their style of play under Vieira.

“To be fair to Crystal Palace, the way their gaffer (Vieira) has got them playing this season is quality,” he added on whufc.com.

“All game they were after us and creating opportunities, but when the opportunities dropped for us we took them.”

West Ham have had plenty of bad luck this season. So if fortune came out of hiding for a brief time against Palace then the Hammers have earned it.
