West Ham star Tomas Soucek says he will demand a summit meeting with Daniel Kretinsky and Nuno Espirito Santo over his and the club’s future.
One of the big reasons Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky is at West Ham is because of his compatriot Tomas Soucek.
Kretinsky fell in love with West Ham due to the Czech connection as Soucek and Vladimir Coufal became key players in the club’s meteoric rise under David Moyes.
Now Kretinsky will be key to Soucek staying at the club.
Soucek wants talks with Kretinsky and Nuno over his and West Ham’s future
The midfielder has been linked with moves away to the likes of Everton and teams in Italy since West Ham’s relegation to the Championship.
Bar Jarrod Bowen, no player has performed better or been more consistent for the Hammers over the last six-and-a-half-years than Soucek.
What are you most looking forward to about the 2026/27 Championship season? 👀
New signings? Millwall clashes? Youngsters getting a chance? No VAR? Or something else? ⚒️
Supporters believe keeping him in the Championship will be vital to the club’s hopes of bouncing straight back to the Premier League.
Logic says ‘Super Tom’ would get 15 goals or more in the second tier given he manages around 10 every Premier League season.

The signs were good for the Hammers in the wake of demotion to the second tier because Soucek took to social media to apologise to fans and seemed to pledge he is ready to stay and fight to get the club back where they belong.
But there have been some worrying murmurings, with Soucek saying he does not want to think about or discuss his West Ham future while on World Cup duty with the Czech Republic and also suggesting a move to Italy could appeal to him.
Now Soucek says he wants talks with Kretinsky and head coach Nuno Espirito Santo over his and the club’s future before making any decision.
Soucek says he loves West Ham but demands reassurances
“In football, you never know what will happen every six months (between transfer windows),” Soucek has told the press while at the World Cup.
“I love West Ham, but I need to calmly discuss with the manager and the board what their views are on the way forward and what the options are.”
Just how important is it that Paco Jemez RETURNS to West Ham?
The Spaniard is certainly open to the idea… 🫡
Kretinsky is on the brink of becoming majority owner, regardless of the fact David Sullivan says he is undecided about selling his West Ham stake.
So he will have the ultimate say whether Soucek is sold this summer.

And a top journalist says Kretinsky has jaw-dropping plans for West Ham which include keeping top players like the midfielder.
There was encouraging news for the Hammers in the days after relegation as it was claimed both Soucek and Bowen had told West Ham they want to stay.
It is a positive that Soucek, as one of the club’s longest-serving and leading stars, wants to hold the manager and owner to account on the direction the club is heading in before he commits.
Demanding answers over the plan for the future and West Ham’s recovery is what the club’s key players should be doing on behalf of fans who cannot demand that audience.
Let’s hope Soucek likes what he hears when he does get that sit-down with Kretinsky and Nuno.
We will know whether that has been the case if he is still a Hammer come the start of the Championship campaign.
