West Ham star Jarrod Bowen has made the England cut ahead of Arsenal man Eddie Nketiah for the Italy clash as Gareth Southgate wields the axe.
England are preparing to face Italy in a big Euros qualifier at Wembley on Tuesday night with West Ham and Arsenal players involved.
Jarrod Bowen and his former Hammers skipper turned Arsenal hero Declan Rice are in the Three Lions squad alongside Gunners duo Aaron Ramsdale and forward Eddie Nketiah.
West Ham’s top scorer Bowen started the friendly against Australia on Friday night while Nketiah made his first appearance for the national team as a sub in the same game.

For the competitive game against Italy, though, Gareth Southgate is only permitted to name a squad of 23 players.
With 25 stars fit and available in training, that means two must be left out.

Sky Sports is reporting that Nketiah and Fikayo Tomori are the players who have been left out for the match.

Potent Bowen’s versatility gives him the nod now all eyes are on whether he will start again in place of injured Arsenal star Saka
That means Bowen will be in the squad and will be pushing for a start given England are without injured Arsenal star Bukayo Saka for the game.
This really gives Bowen a chance – whether as a starter of sub – to make his case for future squads.
David Moyes has been using Bowen as a forward and the Scot says he sees the winger turning into a striker eventually.
That kind of versatility will not be lost on Southgate who clearly feels he brings more to the table than Nketiah for such an important match.
Bowen and Rice will be reunited with former West Ham teammate Gianluca Scamacca at Wembley.
The ex Hammers striker is back in the Azzurri setup after a recent injury.
