The 38-capped Algeria international is a left-back by trade but he is incredibly versatile.
The 26-year-old can also operate at centre-back and in the deep-lying central midfield role.

Gladbach allegedly want around €20 million (£17.2 million) for Bensebaini (Corriere dello Sport).
Considering his quality and versatility, that sounds like outstanding value to us.
West Ham reportedly chasing £17m Gladbach talent Ramy Bensebaini
Corriere dello Sport reckon that the Hammers have a big advantage in the race to sign the Algerian ace.
It is suggested that he has no interest in signing a new contract with Borussia Monchengladbach. So that may well make the Bundesliga outfit’s mind up for them.

In 25 league outings for Gladbach last season, Bensebaini scored four goals. The 26-year-old averaged 1.7 tackles, 1.9 interceptions and 2.5 clearances per match. He averaged 42.9 passes per game with a completion rate of 80.9% (Who Scored).
The Algerian would be a very useful addition to David Moyes squad at West Ham.

The report from Corriere dello Sport does add that the Hammers are reluctant to match Gladbach’s £17.2 million asking price for Bensebaini.
So time will tell as to whether the West Ham board change their mind and offer the German club what they’re asking for.
