West Ham have just tied talented teenager Josh Ajala down to his first professional contract with the club.

The 17-year-old has just put pen to paper on a new contract with West Ham, and that’s something for us all to be excited about.

Hammers manager David Moyes has some incredibly exciting young players amongst his youth team ranks at the London Stadium.

West Ham fans will be familiar with the likes of Divin Mubama, Ollie Scarles, Callum Marshall, George Earthy and Gideon Kodua, some of which could end up saving Moyes millions in the transfer market.

However, Josh Ajala is one of the lesser known names, although that doesn’t mean that he’s not equally as talented as the other more heralded youngsters.

And it seems as though the teenage attacker is set to stay at the London Stadium for a while longer now…

Josh Ajala signs new West Ham contract

Ajala put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the Hammers today, as confirmed via the club’s official Twitter account.

The young centre-forward, who only turned 17 yesterday, has bagged three goals and an assist in seven games for the under-18s so far this season (Transfermarkt).

The talented teenager, who signed from Chelsea only a few months ago, was delighted after signing the deal, and he told WHUFC. com:

“It’s a big moment for me and my family! Signing a pro contract is something I’d dreamed of as a kid and it’s probably the biggest moment of my life so far. There has been a lot of hard work to get to this point, but I just want to keep performing for the Under-18s.”

“Coming to West Ham in the summer, I’ve gelled in with the team and the coaches. It’s a great place to come every day and it’s very welcoming. I feel like finishing is a big part of my game so it’s important I can contribute goals to the team. Hopefully, I can get the call-up for the U21s and can make my Premier League 2 debut”, Ajala went on to say.

I have really high hopes for the 17-year-old forward. He has bucket loads of technical ability, really impressive pace and he is a natural finisher.

The future is certainly very bright for Ajala after he signed his new contract, as it is for West Ham United in general.
