West Ham United are now eyeing up a hugely exciting summer transfer according to reports.
Julen Lopetegui has made a decent start to the summer transfer window, by bringing Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman to West Ham.
The Hammers head coach is believed to be chasing six signings this summer, so that means we can expect another three new arrivals as a bare minimum.
It could actually be argued that he needs to strengthen every single department of his squad at the London Stadium.
We all know that the addition of a top-class striker is Lopetegui’s main priority, and then he will likely chase a new central midfielder.
However, once those two positions have been addressed, it could easily be the case that another centre-back is on his radar.

The Hammers’ defence shipped 74 Premier League goals last season – a tally that was only worsened by the three relegated clubs.
And central defence is clearly an area where Lopetegui wants to considerably strengthen before the start of the new season.
West Ham trying to bring Fikayo Tomori back to London
AC Milan centre-back Fikao Tomori is firmly on the Hammers’ radar this summer according to a report from The Daily Mail.
I’m just praying that this is true because he’d be a seriously good signing for us.
He has been described as ‘outstanding’ by TNT Sports, and they’re bang on the money – he’s an absolutely brilliant centre-back.
Tomori actually admitted back in February 2021 that West Ham just missed out on signing him the previous summer.

The 26-year-old has now been with AC Milan since January 2021, and he has really impressed out in Italy.
Tomori has been one of the standout centre-backs in Serie A over the past three years or so.
The former Chelsea man is incredibly strong in the air, and possesses decent pace. He’s an intelligent defender and his positional awareness is absolutely spot on.
There is one problem I can see – the fact that Milan could demand as much as €50 million (£42 million) for the central defender, according to Sempre Milan.
Hopefully West Ham manage to bring Fikayo Tomori to the London Stadium this summer. What an incredible signing he would be.
However, I can’t see the Hammers board parting with more than £30-35 million for him.
